Service Description

Our Beginner's Sewing Class focuses on teaching you the building blocks of sewing while instilling confidence in your new hobby! This session we will be sewing a floor poof (aka, a sturdy floor cushion). This project is great for beginning sewists and a student favorite! We'll cover basic sewing skills, installing a zipper, piped binding, chain piecing and more. This poof is great for using up small pieces of beloved fabric and can be used to store blankets, stuffed animals or be filled with your own scraps and old t-shirts to prevent landfill waste! All materials are provided, but feel free to bring fabric from home. There will be homework for this class each week in order to finish the project by the end of the session. **Please note that this class is for people who already know how to operate a sewing machine, roughly speaking.
