Service Description

Our Beginner's Sewing Class focuses on teaching you the building blocks of sewing while instilling confidence in your new hobby! This session we'll be sewing a patchwork organizer that's great for electronics, sewing supplies, or other small and sundry items. We'll cover basic sewing skills, installing a zipper, how to use various interfacings, sewing a binding, as well as some basic quilting techniques. This project is great for using up small pieces of beloved fabric in a way that showcases them in daily use. All materials are provided, but feel free to bring fabric from home. There will be homework for this class each week in order to finish the project by the end of the session. **Please note that this class is for people who already know how to operate a sewing machine, roughly speaking. If you have even only sewn a few times, you can probably successfully participate in this class. Not sure if that's you? Give us a call or send us an email!
