After living in places where I never felt I had found my home, Saranac Lake gave me the instant sense of knowing that this was where I belonged. It wasn’t just the mountain views, sparkling lakes and endless trails that made this small town stand out. This community has spent time working to be a space that offers acceptance and safety for all the beautiful forms of love and diversity that the people here encompass. Alongside others, I was able to find the spaces and connections here to have the safety and comfort of being myself, especially being part of the queer community.

So for this panel, I chose to reflect upon the queer community and the pride Saranac Lake offers.
